IJ Start Canon Printer Setup through USB Cable

If your inkjet printer fails to connect wirelessly, or you don’t want a long process, then a USB cable setup can work for you. You’ve to make sure the USB cable you are using is 3 to 5 m long. Then, start canon ij setup with the below steps;

Step 1: Keep your Canon printer turned on.

Step 2: You can use either the CD setup or the online drivers’ download method. Therefore, insert the Canon setup CD shipped with the printer. Otherwise, go through step 3.

Step 3: Go to Canon printer support – http://ij.start.cannon.

Step 4: Select “Set Up” and provide your Canon inkjet model name to open the download page.

Step 5: IJ printer products page helps you choosing your product, but you can type the model name in the shown box for the direct drivers’ download option.

Step 6: Select your operating system from the top right corner, click on the Download tab in the middle and wait for the Canon printer drivers and software download.

Step 7: Run the Setup with double-click on installer setup. It’ll automatically extract the canon ij setup file.

Step 8: Click on “USB connection” or on the next page.

Step 9: Connect the USB cable to the printer and PC (or laptop) hardware when it appears. For it, insert one side of the cable to the PC USB port and another side into the Canon model’s rear.

Step 10: Allow permissions and select your printer model. Also, choose access points from the given list.

Step 11: Follow on-screen instructions to finish the USB setup. Click complete.
